SUPPORT
FOR LOCAL
CHARITIES

The BWB Community Fund was launched on 01 April 2024. In the first year of the fund, 0.5% of company turnover was donated to the fund, a total of £3,300. Since 2025, BWB Technologies now commits to donating a minimum of 1% of turnover to the Fund every year. We are proud to be directly supporting our local community and we are always eager to see the outcomes of the amazing projects that we support.

Our Managing Director, Hozan Edwards, is a passionate outdoor instructor in his free time and having spent numerous weekends in the great outdoors as a youngster himself, realises the significant value of these experiences for both mental and physical wellbeing. As a cadet instructor dedicating an average of 68 days a year to supporting the local unit and school, he is keen to endorse these great experiences for those that may otherwise struggle to access them. He believes that a business should do more than just consider the stakeholders and employees, and has established this fund to support our local community.

We are offering cash or product grants valued from £50 to £500 to individuals, community groups, schools, and organisations within a 20 mile radius of our offices at RG14 5TL. Our support is designed to encourage and enable people to get outdoors and have great, formative, experiences; e.g. paying for new buoyancy aids to replace aging kit at a cadet unit or providing garden equipment at a school to encourage children to play outside and develop an interest in nature.

There is no limit to the number of times you can apply for an award. We welcome multiple awards over time and each award is assessed on its own merit. The only criteria we apply in making awards is that the project meets the funding criteria and our eligibility criteria.

If you know of a deserving project, or think you are someone that only needs a bit of backing to make a big difference, it is simple to apply.

TESTIMONIALS

Curridge Primary School

"Thanks to the support from BWB Technologies, we purchased and took delivery of the parts for our living wall. Having had the troughs attached to the wall of choice, the Year 6 children planted them up. They took a while to decide on the placement of the plants and were interested in how the wall will grow and develop over time - adding a colourful element to the school but also providing a new habitat for some of our creepy crawly friends.

Thank you so much to BWB Technologies for your support and generosity. We really appreciate the funds."

iCollege Alternative Education Inspiration Primary Unit

"We completed the initial application for the BWB outdoor learning grant and we heard back within one week that we had received the grant. This money enabled us to add to the current resources of our Forest School  with a hideout tent, which provides fun and safety for our learners. We also bought some different coloured ropes, which are great for teaching different types of knots, e.g. square, reef and figure of eight knots alongside a dry bag to store them in. Other outdoor resources included two portable bug catcher sets for the children to explore bug hunting, which they find fascinating.

This has really added to our work on animals and habitats where the children have been learning vertebrates and invertebrates."

Good Hope Farm

"BWB Technology helped us to finance an important project we had at Good Hope Farm: the creation of 18 meters long raised strawberry bed with half of it being easily accessible for our special needs farmers and the other half being wheelchair accessible.

In addition to the financial help, they advised us on the best material, how to construct it and finally they organised a charity day where the team came on site to help us build it! It was a lot of hard work on that day bringing all the materials, to build it and then fill it with branches, sheep wool and soil. Everybody worked very hard to achieve the project."
